It's official: Headed to Ishikawa, Japan

Well, looking forward to traveling to Japan next month. My next race is the Peachtree Roadrace on July 4th. I don't know that I have it in me to do better than I did last year. I mean a finish time of 44:48 last year was a great feeling. I'll be closer to the front of course but still not feeling it like I was last year.

In other news though I look to get back into running and adding trail running to the mix. I did discover a new trail by my job which I must say was a great surprise. Jester's Creek Trail it's called. I've been purchasing running gear, etc as I get ready to head out to Japan and look forward to really hitting it hard after being in a rut for a while now. Who knows, maybe even revive the site??? KeepRunning!

I will run the Hasetune Cup. In Japan trailrun is getting more and more popular and it is a little overheating... The Hasetune Cup was sold out within 30 minutes after the entry began!

  4. I know, I really wanted to do Hasetune but was very disappointed when I found out it was sold out. Now my only option is Uenohara. Shinsetsu and Madarao are also sold out. Good luck at Hasetsune!! I will try again next year. If I have a chance I want to do 八十八ヶ所巡り by running. What do you think? I want to complete within two weeks.

It sounds great, but too tough to run within two weeks. It is about 1400km and if you use new road(for example tunnels) instead of old pass, it is still 1100km.

  6. Yes, very tough. New roads will be much easier to travel but I will have to create an efficient map with all of the temples. I really wanted to do Hasetsune and Shinsetsu so I'm a bit sad that they are both sold out. I'm sure that you will have a great run at Hasetsune!!
